Dr. DeMao is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with individual adults and couples. He has successfully treated clients with issues of anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, relationship problems, and difficult life transitions, such as divorce or job loss. Dr. DeMao has extensive experience treating alcohol and drug addiction, as well as other compulsive behavior disorders such as compulsive pornography use. Dr. DeMao focuses on helping patients utilize their personal strengths to resolve their issues as quickly and easily as possible.

Dr. DeMao specializes in treating couples issues, including resolution of marital conflicts, extra-marital affairs, loss of intimacy, and divorce adjustment. Many couples have issues with loss of sexual desire, erectile disorder, sexual compulsivity/addiction, or other sexual dysfunctions. Dr. DeMao also treats patients with gender identity and transsexual issues.
